When my girls were younger, I always looked for bright and cheery books for them to enjoy.  As a Christian family, we also wanted to find storybooks to teach them about God’s Great Love.  We wanted the same colorful and bright books.  Cause you know, kids like bright and fun colors.

Even though my children are older, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to participate in a review and a GIVEAWAY of a book written by respected Pastor Rick Warren, a #1 New York Times bestselling author.

As I read this book, it reminded me of the cute conversations I had about God with my girls.  They wanted to know if God still loved them when they made mistakes or got in trouble.  It’s funny to me now because it got to the point of Equestrian Girl Forever just saying, “mommy, it’s ok.  God loves me even when you fuss!”  Hmmmm….I must fuss a lot.

What I love about this book besides the bright colors and minimum words is how Mr. Warren covers all aspects of God’s Great Love For You.  We speak of God’s Great Love dealing with creation and beauty, but we sometimes miss the mark on letting our children know that God loves them even when they make mistakes.  We ALL make mistakes sometimes, we ALL have bad days, and I believe we should let our little ones know this and talk to them about those mistakes and how God forgives us when we ask him to.
