Words Of Wisdom For High School Graduates From The #MaCs
High School Graduation is here! I love seeing photos shared on social media of all the graduates and reading about their upcoming plans in life. It took me back to my High School graduation many, many years ago. I remember the talks from my mom, family, and her friends telling me they wanted to share words of wisdom for high school graduates.

Tips to Make Learning at Home More Fun
Whether you are looking to support your child throughout the school year or want to make sure they don’t fall below grade level this summer, you’re probably going to get some pushback. School can be overwhelming for kids, and when they come home, they just want to play. The problem is that often times kids need more than school to help them stay on grade level. Why do people think it’s ok to make comments about a skinny person’s body or ask if we ever eat or “whisper” (cause we hear you) to your friend, “She needs to eat a burger or something!” Cause we ALL know if someone said, “YOU ARE A FAT ASS” all hell would break loose. And just so you know, we EAT and can probably eat you under the table. Being told to eat a burger is offensive. It is not taken as a compliment like so many people want to claim they mean.

Read A Bedtime Story To Your Little One No Matter How Near or Far You Are
Every few years we tell our parents that we are moving. Moving further away and even though they are happy for us career-wise, a little piece of them is saddened about missing out on the grandkids growing up. Our kids didn’t have the opportunity to spend the night with their grandparents whenever they wanted or hang out at their house all weekend. They also didn’t have the chance to cuddle up with their favorite book for grandma or papa to read to them.

Four Ways Parents Can Support Reading At Home With Young Adolescents
As students transition from elementary school to middle school, their motivation to read declines. During this transition, students are forced to shift from the pleasure of reading to academic reading to learn new information (Barton, 2018; Kelley & Decker, 2009). In addition, motivating students to read at the high-school level has proven difficult for teachers (Barton, 2018; Jang, Conradi, McKenna & Jones, 2015). When students transition from elementary school to secondary and their motivation to read declines, it begins to affect their performance in school as evidenced by the decline in standardized test scores across the nation (ACT, 2015). #1 Bible For Kids
Something exciting happened to me today. You see, I had this article scheduled to write Monday, November 26. It didn’t happen. Then I planned to write it Tuesday. It didn’t happen. So, today came, and I had to get it done. The day started like any other day, my husband’s alarm going off, my alarm going off and hitting snooze five times. Yes, I have it planned, so I’m able to hit snooze five times before getting up. My husband tells me just to set the alarm for a later time. Hmmm….no.
