Why I Social Distance
Let’s play a game. Anyone remember 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon? The rules are simple. Through 6 people or less, you can find your own connection to Kevin Bacon. Only this time lets play it with someone who is immune compromised.

Dixie Cups Man!
Learning to be a father and husband is a real struggle. Trying to figure yourself out while you are trying to figure out the women you love is a real confusing time. My wife and I got together in our early twenties. At that point in time the only thing I knew about relationships was the vision my parents had provided me. You eventually learn that what you see from the sample your parents give you is not the whole picture. Growing up when dad spoke, we all listened. Dad was the man of the house and if he said it wasn’t happening, it wasn’t happening. When he said something…

Some of the Most Common Forms of Medical Malpractice
A 2016 study by John Hopkins found that over a quarter million people in the U.S. die every year due to medical errors, making it the third leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer. Not all forms of medical malpractice result in death, injuries are also common and may include significant loss of income, constant pain and long-term disability.

Happy Mother’s Day
Happy Mother’s Day to you! Sit back, prop your feet up and relax. Clear your mind and let the sun shine through your smile as you accept that macaroni necklace or the lovely self-painted portrait your child made at school. Yeah, grit those teeth as you hear the mess being created in the kitchen and don’t worry, it will be there waiting for you Monday morning. Just enjoy the lovely breakfast in bed being served to you; that is bacon on your plate. I know, it’s a bit

A Little Music For Your Soul
I love music. My family loves music. Trust me; there’s some sort of music playing daily in our house. Music brings joy to us, like a little ray of sunshine for your soul. I had the opportunity to check out “Glory Song” by Matt Redman. As I listened to this CD, my favorite song was “Gracefully Broken.” Do you know that we all go through problems in life and that you’re not alone? Yeah, I know it feels that way sometimes. TRUST ME. I’ve felt that way. During my hubby’s deployments, with mistreatment from people, failures, and all

Having A Pet Helps You Build Empathy
Every little boy and girl dreams of having a pet of their own to cuddle with and play with. Whether it’s a dog, a cat, or a lizard, every child at some point in their life yearns for their own pet. We all remember the devastation as a young child when you’d ask your mom for a puppy and be told ‘no’ for the thousandth time. However, this may be a mistake. There are a lot of benefits to growing up with a pet, especially an animal like a dog.

You Married Your Husband, Not Your Parents
This is great if you’re married, engaged or want to be married one day. This is the best advice given to me and the best advice I can give as a happily married woman to another woman that wants to be happily married one day. And yes, I added HAPPILY cause some folks are just married and miserable from all ends. And being happy in your marriage doesn’t mean that you don’t want to throat punch one another sometimes. Hey, just keeping it real! But you gotta learn from day one to keep people out of your relationships and most definitely out of your marriage. And before I continue, let’s…

A Testimony – Rape Is Not My Fault
Intro: About 2 years ago I wrote out my entire testimony about how the Lord had brought me through the tragedy of rape; through the waters of infertility and then through the crushing financial time of filing bankruptcy and being where I am today. Recently we did a cleanup day at my house, and unfortunately the old notebook containing that written testimony was misplaced/tossed out. Funny thing is, instead of being very upset about that – I feel that it is God telling me to “rewrite it”, just as He is “rewriting me” now that I have again gone through yet another difficult time losing my father, and am in…

A Card Goes A Long Way and Means So Much
We are all tuned into social media with the ease of sending invites and doing a blanket Thank You to everyone on a list, but do you remember the days of receiving that hand written note or card in the mail? The smile the card put on your face knowing something special happened in someone’s life or that someone is thinking about you? A card goes a long way in making someone’s day special, so why not create some custom cards for your family and friends.

Classic Denim For Kids Without Breaking The Bank
Denim is a classic. I mean, you CAN’T go wrong with having denim in your family’s wardrobe. I also know that finding a great pair of jeans, cute skirt or dress can also be very difficult and pricey for growing kids. I don’t mind dropping a nice penny on my denim cause I’m not going to out grow them in a month, but for my little ones…hmmmmm…….it hurts! So, where can you find a good deal on those classics that everyone should have in their closet, even kids?
